GLOBAL EXPERTISE. LOCAL VIGILANCE.

Who are we?
We are a Blue Mountains born-and-bred firm of security professionals. Our team brings together a wealth of experience across law enforcement, the military, national security, and critical infrastructure.
Before we were protecting assets and managing risk, we were part of this community. We played in your kids' soccer teams, served your takeaway on Friday nights, and delivered your local paper. We aren't just consultants; we are your neighbours, and we have a personal stake in keeping the Mountains (and nearby) safe.
What do we do?
We translate security strategies developed in the world’s most contested environments, into personalised, intelligence-led risk management for the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas.
From securing private homes and estates to fortifying regional enterprises, we bring global expertise home to protect the people and places we know best.
Servicing the Blue Mountains and Surrounds:

Open Source Vulnerability Assessment
A client has been newly appointed to a high-profile role in the Blue Mountains community and is seeking advice from Xander following several anonymous, harassing messages on social media. As a well-known local figure, they are concerned that their private residence, family details, and daily routines are easily discoverable online, creating a risk of "doxing" or being targeted by physical harassment at their home.
The Xander Approach
We conduct an Executive Digital Vulnerability Assessment using the same OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) techniques used by sophisticated threat actors:
-
Footprint Mapping: We map the "Digital Shadow" of the individual and their immediate family, searching through property records, historical electoral rolls, and archived social media data.
-
Property Exposure Audit: We identify that their home address was visible on several "zombie" real estate listings and within a publicly accessible local government PDF from five years prior.
-
Family Link Analysis: We discover that a family member’s public "tagging" on social media inadvertently reveals the official’s frequent morning exercise route and favourite local café.
The Result
-
Data Erasure: We coordinate the removal of personal data from major "People Search" sites and worked with real estate platforms to de-list interior photos of their private residence.
-
Social Privacy Overhaul: We implement "Privacy Scrubbing" for the entire household—locking down tagging permissions and sanitising historical posts that contained metadata or location markers.
-
Ongoing Monitoring: Xander establish an automated "Early Warning" system that alerts the client if their home address or private phone number reappears in new public data breaches or dark-web forums.
Retailer Case Study
A prominent retail group is experiencing a 15% spike in stock loss (shrinkage) and increasing incidents of aggressive customer behaviour during peak tourist seasons. Their existing security is a "reactive" model: basic CCTV and calling local police after an incident had already occurred. Given the geographical isolation of some sites, police response times vary, leaving staff feeling vulnerable and as many offenders may be tourists, recouping loss is nearly impossible.
The Xander Approach
Instead of just installing more cameras, we embed our intelligence-led methodology:
-
Intelligence Audit: We analyse regional crime data and internal stock-loss patterns to identify "hot zones" within the stores and specific times of day when risk was highest.
-
Infrastructure Design: We redesign the CCTV layout to eliminate "blind spots" we have identified in store layouts common for Mountain architecture.
-
Staff Empowerment Seminars: We deliver custom de-escalation training for the local team, teaching them the "OODA Loop" (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) to spot hostile intent before it turned into a physical threat.
The Results
-
Reduction in Shrinkage: Targeted stock loss drops significantly due to the strategic placement of tech and the increased vigilance of staff.
-
Increased Staff Retention: Employee "safety confidence" scores rise, reducing staff turnover during high-stress holiday periods.
-
Operational Resilience: The group now operates with a "proactive" shield, utilising remote monitoring failovers that stay active even during the region's frequent power interruptions.

Private Estate Case Study
A high-net-worth family moves into a sprawling, multi-acre estate in Leura. The property features dense bushland on three sides and a long, unlit driveway. The owners are concerned about privacy from drones and bush-access intruders, as well as the reliability of their security during the frequent power outages and thick fog common to the upper Blue Mountains. Their previous city-based provider had installed a generic "smart home" kit that frequently gave false alarms due to local wildlife, pets and wind.
The Xander Approach
We move away from a "gadget-first" mindset and implement a layered defense strategy tailored to the rugged geography:
-
Layered Perimeter Intelligence: Replace standard motion sensors with AI-brained thermal cameras capable of distinguishing between a local wallaby and a human intruder, even in total darkness or heavy mountain fog.
-
Infrastructure Hardening: Install a redundant Power & Data "Backbone," ensuring the security system, gates, and internal safe-room communications remained 100% operational during grid failures via a dedicated solar-battery failover.
-
Privacy Shield (Anti-Reconnaissance): Implement a "Low-Profile" strategy, masking external security hardware to avoid drawing attention while using Geofencing to alert the owners the moment a non-vetted vehicle entered the private access road.
The Results
-
Zero False Alarms: AI-filtering reduces notification "noise" by 95%, ensuring that an alert is actually an event worth the owner's, or guarding companies, attention reducing lifestyle interruptions or call out fees.
-
"Sanctuary" Peace of Mind: The family can enjoy their estate knowing the "natural" entry points (the bush and cliffs) are being monitored with the same rigour as the front door.
-
Resilient Protection: During a major regional storm and 48-hour power outage, the estate remains the only property on the street with active, monitored surveillance and functional automated gates.
